Bentley started playing the piano at a young age and has enjoyed it since, which is why he wants to teach it. He believes in making the lesson engaging and interactive, thus he uses various materials and props to teach in order to facilitate the ease of the student’s learning. Bentley is a patient teacher who believes in motivating the child, and he hopes to see his students excel and enjoy in their musical journey.

Graduate from the Wee Kim Wee School of Communications (NTU), Charlene wishes to teach students piano as on a freelance basis. She has been playing piano since the age of 7 and has a Grade 8 ABRSM Diploma. Throughout her university years and even till today, she has been playing the piano and constantly strive to improve her skills.

Felicia is someone who loves music since young. She plays the piano since she was 8 years old and was in choir in her primary and secondary school days taking the role of a student conductor as well as a piano accompanist. She hopes to teach students music knowledge and share her passion as well.

Gavin has been learning and playing on the piano self-taught for more than 40 years now. In recent years, he has released 5 CDs worth of original piano solo music on Spotify. Gavin has also published his own sheet music compositions and arrangements. He also has a Youtube channel where he shares his music performance videos.
Gavin finally decided to take the plunge and make piano teaching his official career. Passing the requisite ABRSM exams in 2020, he has been teaching a number of students until now. His students range from Kindergarten to adults in their 40’s, although he welcomes all ages and abilities.

Isabel holds a certificate in Grade 8 ABRSM piano and Grade 5 theory. She is a part-time piano teacher with a good portfolio of students. She brings out the fun in music learning with her cherry attitude and is versatile with her teaching. Isabel can teach both the ABRSM graded syllabus as well as leisure playing.

Jia Min successfully completed her ABRSM Grade 8 certification in 2019 and started teaching in 2020. She has always been keen in sharing the joy of music and is excited to teach. She aims to make all of her lessons fruitful so that students would have a good learning experience.

As a lifelong learner, Jin Feng believes that people should pursue their interests and passions, without letting practical considerations be the defining motivator. In the past, having a musical background allowed him to value-add to choir practices when he was part of the River Valley Chorale from 2014 to 2017.
Teaching others to read music notation also makes Jin Feng feel fulfilled, knowing that others have gained from their learning experience. After attaining his ABRSM Grade 8 Certificate in 2018, he still enjoys finding new piano pieces or pop songs to play in his free time.

Jin Tze is a passionate and dedicated piano teacher with a deep love for music and a strong desire to share his knowledge and expertise with aspiring pianists of all ages. Jonathan is currently a full-time student pursuing a Degree at the LASALLE College of the Arts, majoring in Composition & Arrangement. He believes that learning the piano should be relaxing, fun and not rush. Jonathan would incorporate games or fun activities to make the overall learning experience fun and memorable. Josline started learning the piano when she was 12 and obtained her Grade 5 Piano Certificate in 2009. Since then, she has performed in school concerts and taught students from 7 years old privately. Josline’s passion has kept her going to play the piano on her own and enjoy the moment!

Joyce has been teaching piano lessons privately since 2020. Her students consists of both children and adults, ranging from 6 to 54 years old. She has experience in teaching the ABRSM syllabus. Joyce also teaches both classical piano and pop music as well. If students are interested in composing or arranging, she is able to teach that too.

Karen has been a full-time private piano teacher since 2012, teaching ABRSM practical and theory. She has taught students ranging from a very young age all the way to adults. She also teaches students who are playing for leisure and prefer learning at a more relaxed pace without the pressure of taking exams. Most of her students have achieved high passing rates with a Distinction or Merit in their ABRSM piano exams.
In Karen’s lessons, she teaches students to develop patience, a sense of pitch and rhythm, musicality and expression. She guides them to acquire the right finger technique to produce the right tone and articulation that will help them to bring out the best quality in their music. For young beginners, Karen uses step-by-step teaching method books combined with flashcards, musical apps, visual rhythms and games to engage them in musical activities.

Khloe is a a psychology graduate and piano enthusiast. She holds a Grade 7 practical and Grade 5 theory certification. She has been teaching since 2020 and her teaching philosophy goes beyond grading. Khloe emphasises on the holistic benefits of playing the piano for better mental health. For her, she believes that piano is not just about hitting the right notes; it’s about finding solace, joy, and calmness through music.

Leslie has been teaching since 2015, preparing students for ABRSM Exams as well as teaching Contemporary Keyboard Music (Qualified). His teaching career kicked off when he was recommended to teach at Bedok Community Centre with 10 ABRSM students. Subsequently, the students’ parents requested him to teach at their homes instead. That’s how Leslie started teaching private lessons.
He just completed his contract to teach music to the French Community. Leslie is patient, understanding and friendly with a sense of humor. He enjoys interaction so it’s natural for him to make his students feel accepted, secure and comfortable. Hence, he builds rapport very quickly!
Leslie believes in his student’s abilities without compromising a high standard for himself and for his students. As each student is unique with different learning abilities, he prefers to teach them at their comfortable pace, motivate them by setting goals and affirming them for their achievements! Leslie has taught students for ABRSM Exam Grades 1 to 6 with a high passing rate scoring distinctions and merits!

Lynette is currently doing full-time music, pursuing her ABRSM Diploma exams alongside with teaching. She has attained Distinction for both Grade 8 (Practical) and Grade 6 (Theory) from Associated Board of the Royal School of Music (ABRSM). She has also undergone the Music Elective Programme (MEP) to completed her O Level Music exam.
In her teaching approach, she constantly explores diverse teaching methods to improve students’ learning experience. She also strongly believes that cultivating the correct finger techniques is a crucial part of kickstarting students’ musical journey. Beyond that, she aims to strike a balance in making lessons enjoyable and engaging while ensuring they gain valuable skills from it.

Meng Wei has accomplished a strong and profound interest in the field of music studies. With competent fluency in literacy skills and the ability to converse decently, students are assured of a pleasurable music journey filled with lessons tailored to their respective needs and interests.
With more than a decade of education in the music field, she has a strong interface of existing knowledge gained in piano techniques such as sight reading, improvisation and open harmonisation, all of which are highly beneficial to students on their journey to an aspiring music career in the future.

Michelle loves to share her knowledge on music with people. She teaches in a way that is engaging and fun to keep the interest going for piano learners who are starting out. Playing the piano has been an integral part of Natalie’s life since young. Currently, she is also learning to play pop songs in her free time. Oliver has been playing the piano since he was 4 years old. He believes in continuing one’s interest in playing the piano long after grades have ended. Oliver himself has continued to play piano songs with a focus on modern contemporary pieces and has his own YouTube channel. He also takes pop song requests from friends and upload them onto his channel. Oliver has participated in his university’s inter domertry’s talent show and his company’s talent time for the Asia Pacific office with piano performances. While new to teaching, He is confident that he is able to instill into beginners the love of piano music regardless of age.

The performing arts has been prominent in Yuan Teng’s life – From experience in different dance genres (ballet, hip-hop), singing (classical and pop) to playing of instruments (guitar, piano). Yuan Teng believes in learning through play and making the learning experience interactive and engaging as much as possible. Currently a music and movement teacher working with children from preschool to Primary School, Yuan Teng is well-equipped with the knowledge and skills to engage students in interesting and fun sessions as they journey into learning an instrument.
